JJLP Symposium 2014 - 3.Afternoon Panel: Exploited Youth and the Criminal Justice System

Every year, the UC Davis Journal of Juvenile Law and Policy (JJLP) hosts a Spring Symposium at King Hall in order to facilitate a healthy, productive, and academically important discussion about the urgent issues surrounding the juvenile justice system in our country and specifically in California. This year's symposium was "Combating the Sexual Exploitation of Youth: Legal Advocacy and Community Responses." Human trafficking is the world's fastest growing criminal enterprise and the second most profitable one behind drug trafficking. We hope to highlight the needs of youth victims caught within domestic sexual exploitation, as well as discuss current efforts to address this issue in our communities. 02:45 - 04:00 PM - Afternoon Panel: Exploited Youth and the Criminal Justice System
