The Collective Memory of Genocide Lecture, with Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Rwanda, Johnston Busingye_11/5/2018

Johnston Busingye, minister of justice and attorney general of the Republic of Rwanda, will discuss the collective memory of genocide with a specific focus on genocide denial and international arrest warrants in the aftermath of genocides, as well as Rwanda's collaboration with the international community in its efforts to bring those involved in the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi to justice to end impunity. The discussion will also explore what Minister Busingye has worked on in the past and what new options can be developed to make efforts of post-genocide governments more effective.
