Law Review Symposium 2016-2: Panel One -- Federalism: The Impact of Federal Regulation on State Legalization

Panel 1: Federalism: The Impact of Federal Regulation on State Legalization Moderated by Professor Carlton F.W. Larson This panel will explore the issues that arise as a result of the federal government’s classification of marijuana as a Schedule I substance, while some states choose to legalize its use. Federalism issues cut across many aspects of the law, and can affect how marijuana legalization interacts with everything from immigration policy to intellectual property. Panelists include professors and practitioners who specialize in constitutional law, and will speak to the ways in which marijuana legalization is complicated by federal regulation.
