Journal of International Law and Policy Symposium - Public & Private International Responses to Changing Technology Pop culture references from the last century envisioned the 21st century as including everything from flying cars to clones and robots. And with the rapid developments of the last sixteen years, even the most far-reaching of scientists must be impressed. But these changes have also brought significant issues for the international legal community. Issues such as privacy and data security are now at the forefront, affecting both public and private international legal responses to changes in technology. For its 2016 symposium, UC Davis Journal of International Law and Policy will discuss some of the major legal repercussions of recent technological advancements. Perspectives will include effects on international business deals, corporate policies and criminal prosecutions as well as California's policies.
