Law Review Symposium 2016-5: Panel 3 -- Tax, Business and Finance

Panel 3: Tax, Business, and Finance Moderated by Professor Dennis J. Ventry, Jr. Under both the state and federal systems, marijuana businesses face inconsistent tax consequences. As more states choose to legalize the substance, the tax and business framework surrounding this commodity will only become more complicated. This panel will address the hurdles unique to these businesses, as well as delve into the ethical issues surrounding advice to a client who engages in potentially illegal business models.
