10:15 - 12:00 PM | CHILD LABOR IN CONTEXT: GROUNDWORK The worst forms of child labor (WFCL) persist in various agricultural sectors across continents, from the cotton farms in Uzbekistan, to the tea plantations in Rwanda and Kenya and palm oil plantations in Indonesia and Malaysia, to cocoa farms in West Africa. Companies and organizations working in these areas have launched multi-stakeholder initiatives to address issues of child labor and other human rights concerns. This panel brings together leaders of such initiatives from Africa and Europe. This panel will discuss best practices, identify issues, and share insights in the fight against WFCL.
