Aoki Seminar: Christine Williams “A Review of Native American Identity in California" 4/9/2019

Please join the Aoki Center today at lunch for the final installment of our Interdisciplinary Research Seminar Series. This week, the Honorable Christine Williams, Chief Judge of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians and Director of the Tribal Justice Program, will present “A Review of Native American Identity in California.” This seminar will discuss federal recognition, tribal membership, the urban Indian community, and relocation specific to California’s Indian country. This seminar will also be a celebration of the one year anniversary of the founding of the Tribal Justice Project. A short reception will follow the seminar.
